Responsibilities

As a Senior Analytical Chemist you will have a leading role in the analytical development, maintaining good contact with management, scientists, Analytical Chemists as well as Process and Formulation Engineers, to ensure scientifically-sound output. Furthermore, you will work on detailed experimental plans and execute the plans to develop the methods followed by data interpretation and defining next steps in the development. You might support in coaching Analytical Chemists in the execution of experimental plans. You will deliver reports that can be used in e.g. patent applications and possibly (A)NDA/IND filing procedures. With your knowledge of Excel VBA, you are able to optimize and validate Excel workbooks. And as we are planning to further automate our lab processes (think of LIMS and ELN), experience with lab automation is a pre.

  • Develops and qualifies/validates analytical methods, including writing of method descriptions, protocols and reports to assure sound analytical output.
  • Executes analytical research to generate analytical output to ensure progress in the project.
  • Delivers scientifically-sound output in the form of experimental work protocols and reports, including data interpretation. The quality should be such that the output can be used in pharmaceutical dossier and/or patents.
  • Serves as Subject Matter Expert for specific techniques.
  • Implements new analytical techniques and instruments, including writing of procedures for calibration, operation, cleaning and maintenance.
  • Proposes improvements of procedures on the analytical laboratory, including technical, logistical and EHS procedures

What do you bring?

  • Knowledge: comparable to BSc in a relevant field of Analytical Chemistry, Chemical Engineering or related scientific disciplines.
  • Experience: At least 7 years industrial experience in the field of analytical chemistry of (bio-) pharmaceuticals, medical devices, food or biomaterials. Experience with pharmaceutical Analytical/QC development and GMP is preferred.
  • Skills: Practical analytical, method development, writing of experimental plans, protocols and reports, data interpretation, coaching skills, Excel VBA, lab automation.
  • Competences: Result-oriented, creative, communicative team player, hands on mentality.

About Nanomi

Nanomi is leader in the field of microsphere and nanoparticle development of long-acting release injectable medicines. The company is located in the green surroundings of Oldenzaal and is a subsidiary of Lupin ltd. The Nanomi team is relatively young and consist of about 40 employees currently. By the different cultures within the team and our Indian mother company, we are internationally oriented. The working atmosphere is informal and dynamic, with personal development and humor as important pillars.

There are two operational departments (Formulation/Process and Analytical Chemistry) with three different well-equipped laboratories in our state-of-the-art facilities. At the formulation laboratory the small-scale product development of microsphere and nanoparticle long-acting release injectables takes place, whereafter the in the process laboratory the production process is scaled up to commercial scale.

The Analytical Chemistry department is responsible for the development of analytical methods to fully characterize our products, microsphere and nanoparticle long-acting release injectables. The analytical laboratory provides cross functional expertise in the development of the products and once developed, the analytical laboratory takes care of GMP QC testing. As a team, we strive for high quality and efficient output.
